Engineering That Supports Your Operation
Reliable gas compression starts with understanding the complete application. FS-Elliott brings together compressor engineering, gas-path materials, sealing technology and controls to address the requirements that matter throughout the equipment’s life.
Designed Around Your Gas & Operating Duty
Gas composition, inlet conditions and pressure ratio guide aerodynamic design, material selection and stage configuration. Project-specific API 617 and API 614 requirements are addressed through engineering and testing.
Gas services include nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon, methane and ammonia, with suitability evaluated for each application.
Protect Gas Purity, Manage Process Leakage
An oil-free gas path helps protect gas purity, process integrity, and environmental performance. Materials and sealing arrangements are selected based on the gas composition and operating conditions.
Available options include Babbitt seals and single- or tandem-dry gas seals. For hydrocarbon, regulated, and specialty gases, non-contact dry gas seals help reduce leakage, oil contamination, emissions, and maintenance.
Six Decades of Experience Behind Your Equipment
FS-Elliott brings more than 60 years of centrifugal compressor engineering experience and a longstanding heritage serving oil, gas and petrochemical operations. Mechanical reliability and serviceability are considered alongside performance requirements to support demanding, continuous-duty applications.
OEM parts, maintenance expertise and ongoing service support help your team care for the equipment your operation depends on throughout its service life.
Keep Compressor Performance Aligned With Your Process
Efficient operation begins with a compressor configuration selected for the required duty. Aerodynamic design and operating requirements are evaluated together to support effective energy management.
Regulus control systems can provide performance monitoring, signal trending, diagnostics and historical data. Application-specific controls help operators recognize changing conditions, assess compressor performance and make informed operating decisions.
Keep Your Project Moving, From Specification to Startup
FS-Elliott works with EPC teams and operators to coordinate technical requirements, documentation and installation planning throughout the compressor project. Clear communication helps align equipment decisions with site requirements and project priorities.
Commissioning guidance, control-system integration support and operator training help your team prepare for startup and ongoing operation.

Insights & Resources

Custom Aerodynamics for Centrifugal Compressors
A commonly overlooked factor behind compressor performance is the influence of on-site conditions and the impact they can have on compressor design, daily operation, and running costs. These factors can directly affect energy consumption, daily operations, and system efficiencies, which are critical metrics for facility operators.

What is the Difference Between Compressing Nitrogen and Compressing Air?
Compressed nitrogen and compressed air both power critical industrial systems, but their different physical and chemical properties lead to important distinctions in compressor design, safety, and packaging.

Unlocking the Advantages of Combination or Dual Process Compressors
Combination or dual process machines can combine any two gases, with air and nitrogen being the most common for centrifugal compressors. These versatile compressors are used in various applications where both compressed air and nitrogen are required, such as manufacturing, food processing, aerospace, and electronics. The primary purpose of a dual-process compressor is to provide both compressed air and nitrogen, making it a cost-effective and efficient solution for many businesses.
